A repeat breakfast beats a better lunch
If your food keeps getting away from you by noon, one breakfast you can repeat four times does more for the week than another plan to fix dinner.

If the food part of your day keeps getting loose by noon, stop trying to rescue it at noon. Pick one breakfast that repeats. A plain one. When the morning starts with coffee, keys, shoes, and a promise to "grab something later," later usually shows up as a short line, a long meeting, or a drive through whatever is closest.
That is the common failure. Nothing dramatic happens. You just leave the house with no plan, hit midday hungry and busy, buy whatever fits in one hand, and spend the rest of the day feeling like the food part went off the rails for reasons you cannot quite name, when the real reason is that the first meal never happened.
So make breakfast boring on purpose. Four weekdays is enough. Buy the same thing for Monday through Thursday, put it in the same spot you will see first, and pick a version you could make half awake while waiting for the coffee to finish.
Think in parts you can see. A bowl of yogurt with fruit and a handful of cereal works. Two eggs on toast with a piece of fruit works too.
So does oatmeal with peanut butter and a banana. So does a bagel with cottage cheese. None of these need a plan, a pan full of dishes, or a better version of you.
Lunch feels important because it is where the day goes sideways in public, but breakfast is where the weekday gets its rails, and a repeat meal wins because it removes the 7:10 decision that keeps becoming the 12:40 problem. Same shelf, same bowl, same move. Done.
Keep the bar low. You do not need a perfect breakfast, a pretty breakfast, or a breakfast you will want to photograph. You need one you will eat on a Wednesday when the bag is half packed, somebody cannot find their shoes, and your best idea is still to skip it and sort the whole thing out later.
If you get bored by Thursday, fine. This is not a lifetime contract. It is a 4 day fix for a week that has been asking too many small questions before you are fully awake.
What I'd do:
- On Sunday, pick 1 breakfast you can make in 5 minutes and buy it for 4 weekdays.
- Put every part in the same visible spot before Monday, with the bowl or pan you need right beside it.
- Eat that same breakfast for 4 mornings before you decide whether it is "working," because 1 rushed Tuesday does not tell you much.
- Log those 4 breakfasts in Pomelo, and if the rest of the day still gets loose, fix the next loose spot after the first one is handled.
